Acknowledge

When you are realizing that you are in a problem or anticipating a problem to show up on your journey, be prepared to acknowledge it. It is even better to have a mindset to embrace that problem.

You will not become a seasoned driver by driving on the plain traffic-free road. Sometimes you need rough patches to master the art of driving.

Sometimes you need more complicated questions in an exam to make you understand how much you are comfortable with the subject.

Most of the time the problem continues to haunt us for an extended period. And we keep staring at the problem only because we refuse to accept the fact that we have a problem and acknowledge it.

This constant fear to accept the problem will only make you habituate to it over time. Don’t let that happen. Your are overexposure to the same problem for an extended period will create a new loop in your mind and feelings and will make you sick.

Once you open your mindset to acknowledge and accept the problem you have, you automatically stop being afraid of the problem and start to think about how to handle and overcome problems in your life. Sometimes you can also stop it permanently from showing up again.

In-depth Analysis

Once you have acknowledged that you have a problem, you are now less scared of facing that problem. Now, all that you have to do is to analyze the severity and the impact it has created and plan to handle and overcome problems in your life.

Though the mental state is more important than monetary impact, money is also an important commodity that cannot be ignored.

Also, to have a holistic view of the problem at hand and arrive at a solution, you have to consider all the factors. Money and Mind are just a couple of them.

Now take a paper and write down the problem at the bottom of it. This helps you to identify what is the problem and enables you to clearly define it. Being specific will give you clarity to handle and overcome problems in your life.

Now take the bottom-up approach to identify the problem by recalling the steps one by one which made you feel you have a problem. This is called reverse engineering. This technique of reverse engineering is widely used in the medical field to invent new medicines and diagnostics.

Once you can link back to the root of the problem and understand where it started, you will now have the answer to your problem.

Third Eye Review

Though acknowledging and analyzing can help you identify the problem and root cause of it, taking a third person approach to look at your problem will help you to avoid more such problems in the future. This may require practice.

This can also be done by asking some of your relatives or friends an opinion on your new problem. But that can also create more confusion if the person does not have a clear understanding of your work and the problem.

So take a step back and look at the problem from another angle. Think in a third person’s view on how to think and act to handle and overcome problems in your life.

Sometimes when we drive our car with low air pressure on one wheel, we just feel the difficulty in driving. Once a passerby points it out, then we realize what is the problem causing this uncomfortable in driving.

Many a time an outsider has more information on how a company or a person doing more than the management thinks. Many high paid consultants are the testimony of that fact.

Take A Break

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.

This statement is greatly ignored by many. But it has great value to it.

Working non-stop and stressing yourself out every day to achieve your set goal can drain your energy over time. When you are running with insufficient energy, your mind is not working perfectly.

Your brain can only perform at its best only when it has enough rejuvenation and refreshments.

Taking a short break from your regular work can also put you back at work with multi-fold energy. As your mind was always at work during your workdays, when you are taking off, one corner of it is waiting for you to get back to your schedule. It keeps analyzing your problems.

Sometimes, the solution will appear like a flash. This happens only when you take your time off of your daily routines to give your body and mind a much-needed vacation.

Find A Mentor

Having a mentor for yourself from the field of your work will always be rewarding. You have a third person watching you all the time. You have a person to reach out to when you are confused.

When you find what your problem is, have an open discussion and let him/her know all that has happened. Always having a mentor with more experience in your field of work is advised irrespective of age.

Experience is always greater than age. They have already traveled on the road you are taking now. They probably have handled the problems you are facing now.

Find a mentor and have them watching your back anytime.

Books can also act as a substitute for a mentor. But it is always better to talk to a human with whom you can have live interaction and create an emotional bonding. Over time, they may become your family and friends and you have them with you to share their experience.

Upskill

Too much thinking and no action is useless.

Once you have identified the problem, understood the root cause of it, got it validated by a mentor who has experience in your field, preparing and equipping yourself with the required weapons is the next big thing.

Learning is always the ultimate. Never stop learning.

If you find out that the problem at hand is due to any skill that you lack, take the training. Attend seminars. Read books relevant to your area.

Somewhere in some book or a discussion lies a piece of information that can transform you. Never underestimate the power of continuous learning.

Learning continuously will keep you ahead in the game. That gives you a winning edge over others.

Start again

Now that you have prepared yourself with all the details of the problem and the tips and tricks to handle it, it makes no sense if you are not taking action.

You have to start somewhere to continue your journey. A flat tire should not be the end of your journey. Restart your journey with your renewed energy.
Now that you have clarity on the problem, have a 360-degree view of the issues around, validated with a person who has experienced similar problems, prepared yourself with required skills, and re-energize your mind, you are all set to shoot for the moon. You are all set to overshoot your goals.

Bonus: Do Not Repeat The Same Mistakes Again

Most of the time people fail not because they got a problem. They fail because they failed to act on the problem in the right way at the right time and they repeat the same mistakes again and again.

Your mistakes and problems should be a learning opportunity to transform and evolve yourself. Once you are out of it, you should be clear enough not to make the same mistakes again and again. If not you will be stuck in a loop of repeated similar problems.

Conclusion:

Success comes after the struggle. Success without struggle is temporary as there is no learning or transformation to keep that success constant and consistent for a longer period. Preparing yourself to handle obstacles in your way is what will differentiate you from others. Pushing yourself through the obstacles and emerging as a winner is what creates your identity.

Recommendation:

It is hard to find time for a vacation amidst the busy schedules of the week. But giving time for your mind to relax and rejuvenate is mandatory to concentrate on results rather than the time spent on the work. Having a regular reading habit will help you with that. Grab a book of your choice and plan to read at least 30 mins daily at the time of your choice.

Meditation will be an awesome way to rejuvenate and calm all those nasty noises running inside your head. Practice mindfulness meditation to calm yourself down and revitalize.

Success is all yours!!!
