How do you expect your life to be? What do you want your life to fill with? There are high chances, to a higher percentage of people who read this, that the first thing to flash is “Happiness.” But happiness is generally ignored in this time when people are in pursuit of worldly gains. As a result, they lose the opportunities to be happy at the right moment and get deep into stress over some time.

So how to maintain a state of happiness, and what affects us from maintaining happiness? There are a few elements that affect happiness, and below is what I consider the most important among them.

The title words, Mindset, Helathset, and Soul set are used here, getting inspired from the book “5AM Club” by Robin Sharma. Let’s look at how you can reclaim your happiness and maintain it.

Mindset

Your mindset is the first and foremost thing that comes between you and your happiness. Your state of mind decides how you experience every moment of your life.

You may have a vision for your life or a goal to accomplish. You cannot plan and prepare to work on that goal if you are not in a happier state of mind. You cannot give your 100% in a stressed or sad mind.

You cannot envision your goals better if you are not happy. Happiness is a higher state of meditation in which you will be able to visualize your goals better, and the universe takes you on the right path to achieve them.

So how do you maintain this significant state of happiness through your stressful days? Just ask yourself a question every time something pops up in front of you that pulls you down. Can I do anything for this problem to be solved?

Most of the time, we react to a situation that is not under our control. Why? Because right from our childhood, we were trained to respond to outer world situations. This world, in this digital era, is full of distractions.

As Dandapani, a profound speaker and spiritual master, said, “energy is where our awareness goes.” Our concentration shifts to where awareness is. When we concentrate on something that is not our way of life, we get stressed and lose our happiness.

Use the same distraction to distract yourself from such outer world elements that would take a toll on your happiness. Try to practice concentration exercises. Shift your focus back to your work every time you are distracted. It might seem difficult at the beginning. But this will help you significantly over the due course to remain focused on your life goals.

When you focus on your life goals and are free from distractions, you’ll gradually see yourself being more in the state of happiness.

Health set

The contribution of personal health to happiness is being discussed heavily due to the change in the lifestyle of people from being highly active to passive.

This whopping shift from one form of lifestyle to another has paved the way for a list of health issues pushing a considerable population under medication for the rest of their lifetime.

To experience the happiness of any moment, you have to be in perfect health. Maintaining excellent health in recent times has become a challenge due to addiction to digital devices.

In the book “5AM Club”, author Robin Sharma insists on exercising or spend time for your fitness first thing in the morning. That has significant importance in your state of happiness throughout the day.

So how to maintain your physical fitness amidst stressful times? How to overcome that stress in the first place? Exercise. Yes, when you feel stressed, try to stretch your muscles or take a walk. When you come back, you will be relaxed.

Cannot go for a walk outside? No problem, try to do pushups or situps. No need to break some world records, just a couple of reps will make you feel relaxed.

Set a goal to be fit. Do not set some exorbitant goals to accomplish in a short time. There are more chances that you will drop it mid-way. Set some realistic goals and work your way slowly but steadily towards it. Reward yourself on the way to your more minor accomplishments. These rewards for achievements boost your cortisol level in your blood and put you in a state of happiness.

Soul set

Happiness in this regard comes from taking those strengths and qualities that make you an individual of good character and utilizing them to help something that could be greater than yourself – something that gives reason and meaning to your life.

Pause for a minute to note down your qualities and strengths – the best things about you. What are your capabilities? What are your inborn talents? What are the ideals (like academic skills or boldness) that you have purposely developed in yourself?

Now think whether all of these are greater than you or lesser. It is the point at which you put this reason at the highest priority of your to-do list, even over your joy, that is when you experience a heightened state of happiness and a sense of fulfillment.

Meditation and manifesting your goals can also help you in maintaining a state of happiness.

Meditation slows down the speed at which your mind processes the information, both wanted and unwanted, and lets you focus your energy and awareness on what you are doing with concentration. As our bur human brain processes thousands of information at any given time, meditation helps to focus on essential information.

Any work done with concentration yields significantly more results than those done for completion.

Make sure to experience the feeling of accomplishing your goals when manifesting. Several studies have proven that experiences are never forgotten by our minds. When you experience your goals first hand while manifesting, it increases the state of happiness you approach your goals with and improves the desire and preparation to plan and progress towards your goals.

Conclusion

Being in a state of happiness is the need in this age of higher dependency on digital devices, which reduces our brain function as we outsource even our more straightforward tasks. We happen to know about events and happenings that are noway useful for us, and we respond to them. This is likely to cause digital dementia. And your happiness is gone for a toss. It is high time we react and reclaim our precious emotion and happiness to fulfill our life goals and desires.
